We’ve noticed that while many are excited about the Land Roamer Pioneer, they also like to take their time before taking the next step. We completely understand. Choosing a camper or cabin is a big decision; you want to feel at home in it and have full confidence in the company behind it. We also realize that joining an emerging brand may lead to additional questions.

Land Roamer is far from a short-term venture. The Pioneer is the result of nearly five years of development, testing, and real-world travel. We understand exactly what a camper truly needs when it hits the road.

The questions we encounter are very reasonable, and we are committed to addressing them. Recently, we have been developing more detailed and specific information on our most frequently asked questions. This content will soon be available on our website.

Take a look at the overview below for a summary of the new information, so you can quickly see what’s been added without having to search the entire website

Frequently asked questions include:

  • What happens if Land Roamer is no longer around in a few years?
  • What would that mean for warranty and servicing?
  • What about third-party components and parts?
  • Do I take on extra risk as one of the first customers?
  • Does the cabin meet all official camper requirements and regulations?
  • What does the entire buying and building process look like, from start to finish?
  • What if something on the cabin breaks while I’m traveling abroad?

How Land Roamer provides peace of mind:

  • Established brands
The camper is built using components from suppliers with a proven track record of quality. All sourced components meet European standards and are CE-certified. No unknown origin, only parts you can rely on, ensuring you know exactly what to expect, even in the long term.
  • Electrical installation
For our electrical system, we partner with Independent Energy, an experienced specialist in off-grid solutions. The Pioneer is equipped with Victron Energy components, which are available worldwide and built for long-term travel. Any issues can be diagnosed remotely via the Victron Cerbo, allowing us to provide quick assistance whenever needed.
  • Warranties and service of the cabin
Manufacturer warranties on third-party components remain valid, even if Land Roamer were to cease operations in the future. All technical documentation remains accessible, and servicing can be handled by our partners if necessary. This ensures that continuity is not solely dependent on Land Roamer.
  • Warranties and service of the pickup
The Land Roamer cabin is mounted onto a pickup truck without making permanent modifications to the vehicle. Your truck remains technically standard, except for any 4×4 upgrades you choose yourself. This means your pickup can be maintained by any local workshop worldwide, independent of specialized components or brand-specific solutions.
  • Built in The Netherlands
Every Land Roamer is built entirely in the Netherlands at our workshop in Barneveld. This is where design, engineering, and craftsmanship come together. By keeping everything in-house, we ensure short lines of communication, total quality control, and attention to every detail, exactly as you would expect.
  • Camper regulations
he cabin is designed and built in accordance with Dutch camper regulations. This means it complies with the guidelines of both the RDW (Dutch vehicle authority) and the Belastingdienst (Dutch tax office).
  • Building process
    – Pickup choice, if preferred we can provide guidance during the selection process.
    – Option customization, select your choices for options, features, and colors in collaboration with our interior stylist.
    – Production and installation of the cabin.
  • No hidden costs
Our payment schedule is divided into transparent milestones based on production progress. This provides full clarity on the status of your project leading up to the delivery of your cabin.

Development, testing and dependability

The Pioneer was developed by Jerry and Anniek with a clear focus: daily usability, safety, and long-term durability. Over 800 hours have been dedicated to designing, testing, and refining every detail. We have deliberately invested in extensive development, prototyping, and technical engineering to ensure our choices are proven in practice, not just on paper.

For example, the rear bumper is engineered to handle both rear impacts and vertical loads from below. During off-road driving, the bumper absorbs these forces before they can reach the cabin. It is one of many smart details designed so you don’t have to worry, ensuring a safe and logical setup for every unexpected moment.

Every choice in layout, materials, and technology is driven by practical use, not by trends. This results in a camper that functions logically, whether for short weekend trips or long-term overland expeditions.

Proven in extreme conditions

The production model underwent 13 months of extensive testing across South America. We endured temperatures ranging from 40°C to -10°C, crossed steppes and volcanoes, and drove from sea level to altitudes of 5,100 meters. River crossings, beaches, salt flats, deserts, and endless corrugated roads: everything you might encounter on an overland journey has been thoroughly put to the test.

Because of this, we know for certain that the Pioneer is practical, reliable, and ready for any conditions you might encounter on your journey.
